Mercy Ministry

Long-term development rather than short-term relief is the main vision of the ministry; however, the number of people struggling to meet basic needs is staggering.  The churches of Lahai Roi are committed to caring for the poor and elderly by providing food, shelter, and clothing to those who need it most.  In many cases, these people would otherwise be left with no help at all.  Without the safety net of a state sponsored welfare system, Pastor Sidor and the churches of Lahai Roi feel a responsibility to uphold the words of Jesus in Matthew 25 to care for the “least of these.”  Humanitarian aid is a need in the areas served by the ministry, which seeks to effectively utilize any and all resources available to ensure that temporary relief can be a step along the path to long-lasting change.
